International Overdose Awareness Event
About this Event
Australia is losing seven people per day to overdose - that's one person every 3.5 hours, every single day of the year.
Between 2001 and 2024, we lost 766 Tasmanians to accidental overdose.
There are approximately 10 alcohol &/or drug-related ambulance attendances per day in Tasmania.
In 2022, people aged 15 to 24 accounted for the highest proportion of alcohol &/or drug -related ambulance attendances.
Everyone has a role to play in preventing overdose.
Join us for a light lunch and discussion around overdose in Tasmania.
