Join us for an afternoon filled with exciting activities that will spark their curiosity and love for space! 🚀
From 2:00 to 5:00pm, you will be able to do:
🔍 Lunar Bingo: Embark on a tour of the observatory and complete 9 fun tasks to discover fascinating lunar facts!
🌑 Moon Crater Experiment: Create your own moon craters using flour and chocolate powder. Watch as rocks simulate the impact and formation of craters!
🧩 Moon Mythbusters: Put your detective hats on and solve puzzles to figure out which Moon facts are true and which are myths.
🌕 Moon Rocks: Get up close and personal with real Moon rocks and learn about their origins.
🌍 Moon & Earth Size Comparison: See how the Moon measures up against Earth in a fun and interactive way.
From 7:00 to 10:00pm, we will have a public night dedicated to the Moon, with public talks by Peter Jedicke (from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada) and Jack Lopes!
