International Mountain Day Kid's Craft @ Walthamstow Library
About this Event
We are celebrating International Mountain Day 2026!
Mountains Matter!
The United Nations established an annual International Mountain Day on December 11th from 2003 to raise awareness of the vital importance they have regarding life, Nature and sustainable development.
Did you know that they hold and supply the majority of the World's fresh water?
Did you know that mountain eco-systems are 15% of the planet's surface and are bio-diversity hotspots, also being home to many diverse Indigenous Peoples?
Join us for some crafting fun to create your very own interactive mountain scene to take home!
Free activity
All children must be accompanied and supervised by their adult
