International Men's Day 2026 - The Joys of Manhood
About this Event
What brings joy and fulfilment to boys and men of all ages?
We hear a lot about the challenges facing men and boys, and about what goes wrong.
This International Men’s Day, we are shining the spotlight on the joys of manhood.
What do men value about being men?
What gives men a sense of purpose, fulfilment and connection?
Which experiences, relationships, opportunities and contributions make life meaningful?
And how can we better support boys and young men to thrive and become the best they can be?
This year’s UK theme for International Men’s Day is “Supporting Men and Boys”. Our focus will be on the positive experiences of boys and men, while also recognising the support available to men when they need it.
The programme will open with remarks from Lady Howe, Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, and include contributions from Chris Curtis MP, our keynote speaker and other guests, alongside wider discussion.
Following the release of our report on the world of boys and young men, a key feature of the afternoon will be a Young Men’s Panel, offering an opportunity to hear directly from boys and young men about their experiences, perspectives and aspirations.
Alongside the main-stage programme, an exhibition-style space will bring together organisations and initiatives sharing information, resources and opportunities relating to men’s lives and wellbeing.
Join us for an afternoon of conversation, insight and connection, including:
· Conversations exploring the joys of manhood
· A Young Men’s Panel, bringing boys’ and young men’s perspectives to the fore
· Stories and reflections on journeys towards joy and fulfilment
· An exhibition-style space showcasing initiatives supporting men and boys
· Opportunities to meet, connect and continue the conversation
