Thurs 15 & Fri 16 Aug | 10am – 4pm each day | £50Dreaming of being the next top DJ? Well, this dynamic introduction to DJ’ing could help you on your way. Over the course of two days, you will be provided with state-of-the-art DJ equipment and assisted by some of the UK and Ireland’s leading DJ’s and producers. You will be guided through everything you need to know on becoming a DJ.
Topics covered on the course include music selection (all music genre’s covered), health and safety, setting up equipment, beats, bars, rhythms and phrasing, beat matching and mixing, EFX tricks and scratching, structuring a mix and final mix recording.
Students can bring in their own music on CD or hard drive or can search through the extensive music bank supplied by the course tutor. On course completion, a Mix CD of the students work (recorded and mastered by the course tutor) will be provided to each student to take away with them.
No musical ability is required and no previous experience necessary. All you need is an interest in music.
