About this Event
We are looking for student volunteers and young professionals who are interested in supporting an international dialogue event in Antwerp.
This event will bring together participants from different backgrounds to engage in meaningful conversations about peace, dialogue, and global cooperation.
Volunteers will help support the event operation and may also participate as dialogue facilitators during the small group discussion sessions.
If you are interested in gaining hands-on experience in international dialogue events, we warmly welcome your participation.
Who Can Apply
We welcome applications from:
- university students
- young professionals
- NGO volunteers
- individuals interested in peace dialogue and international exchange
Additional conditions:
- Age: up to 39 years old
- Gender: no restriction
- Religion: no restriction
- Background: open to all
Students from universities in Antwerp and surrounding areas are especially encouraged to apply.
Language Requirement
The event will be conducted in English.
Applicants should be comfortable communicating in English in an international environment.
1. Participation as an Event Attendee
You are welcome to join as a participant in this interactive dialogue event.
As an attendee, you will:
- engage in small-group discussions with diverse participants
- explore real-life social challenges and perspectives
- contribute ideas toward building a culture of peace
2. Participation as a Volunteer Facilitator
We are also inviting students and young individuals to join as volunteer facilitators.
As a facilitator, you will:
- support small-group dialogue sessions (3-6 participants)
- help guide discussions in a structured and inclusive way
- gain hands-on experience in facilitation and event operations
This role is suitable for those who:
- are interested in communication, leadership, and community engagement
- want to gain practical experience in international dialogue settings
Selected facilitators may also be invited to:
- participate in follow-up educational programs (e.g., YEPC, IRPA)
- engage in ongoing international projects and online activities
- explore further opportunities for global collaboration, including programs connected to Korea
No prior facilitation experience is required, but motivation and responsibility are important.
Volunteers may request a Volunteer Contribution Record summarizing their participation.
To respect privacy regulations (GDPR), records will include only minimal information such as:

Selection Process
To ensure a smooth and well-organized event, volunteers will be selected through a two-step process.
Step 1 — Online Orientation
Applicants will be invited to a short online orientation session, where they can learn more about the event and meet the organizing team.
This session helps us ensure that volunteers understand the event structure and responsibilities.
Step 2 — Staff Training
Selected volunteers will be invited to a staff training session approximately one week before the event.
The training will cover:
- event structure
- volunteer roles
- dialogue facilitation basics
- event-day coordination
Event Day Preparation
On the event day, volunteers will participate in a short on-site briefing session in the morning.
During this session:
- volunteer role sheets will be distributed
- coordination instructions will be provided
Volunteers will also be asked to help with post-event venue organization and cleanup.
3. Participation as an NGO / Organization Partner (Co-Creation)
We welcome NGOs, student organizations, and initiatives interested in co-creating this event.
As a co-creation partner, your organization may:
- contribute to the dialogue sessions as a facilitator
- support outreach and participant engagement
- showcase ongoing projects or initiatives through exhibition or content
- collaborate in shaping the event experience and impact
This event is designed as a collaborative platform, where different actors can contribute based on their strengths and interests.
If your organization is interested in contributing, we encourage your preferred form of collaboration through the registration form.
Future Opportunities
In addition to this event, participants / volunteers / NGOs may also have opportunities to engage in structured training programs and continued international projects.
These may include:
- participation in educational programs focused on dialogue, peace, and global cooperation (e.g., YEPC, IRPA)
- hands-on involvement in online program planning and operations
- continued collaboration within international project teams
- the Korea visit program in September (self-funded)
These opportunities are designed to support participants in developing practical skills and gaining deeper experience in international dialogue and project work.

Volunteer Basis
This opportunity is volunteer-based.
- No financial compensation will be provided.
- Logistics (travel, accommodation, meals, etc.) are not provided.
Event Changes or Cancellation
In the case of unforeseen circumstances such as:
- venue issues
- force majeure
- public safety concerns
- natural disasters
the organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the event.
The organizing team cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by participants.
Communication Requirement
Communication will primarily take place via email.
Applicants must be able to respond to event-related communications in a timely manner.
Applicants may optionally provide a phone number for easier coordination, but this is not mandatory.

To coordinate the event well, the following minimal personal information may be collected:

This information will be used only for event coordination purposes.
Personal data will be stored securely and deleted within a reasonable period in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
