About this Event

The City of Vincent and YDAN invite young people with disabilities and friends to come and enjoy afternoon tea and relaxed activities. Come and celebrate International Day of People with Disabilities with us and create, learn, and connect with the community.

While registering is not necessary to attend, we do encourage anyone with accessibility or dietary requirements to register so we can ensure we meet those needs. Registering will also ensure entry to the event if we happen to reach room capacity.

2022 IDPwD Theme: Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fueling an accessible and equitable world.

A panel of young people with disabilities will be discussing what this year's theme means to them, and what innovative design has done to enhance accessibility in their own lives.

In addition to the panel, a young disabled artist will be facilitating the painting of a collaborative community banner. We will also be running a fun activity to help us think about creative and innovative solutions to accessibility problems found in everyday life.

What does young disabled people and friends mean? Any young disabled people (12-25) and people who consider themselves friends to the community.
