Join us for the annual International Day of Peace celebration, which includes global cuisine from local restaurants, live performances, activities, and an awards ceremony. The free event begins at 11 a.m. in People's Park, located at 762 Elma St. in Akron, Ohio.

About International Day of Peace:

Established in 1981 by a unanimous United Nations resolution, the International Day of Peace is observed around the world each year on (or around) Sept. 21st and is a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to build a Culture of Peace.
