On 11–12 February, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) will host the international conference “Women in Science (WinS)”, organised to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The conference aims to foster and strengthen an inclusive, open and equitable scientific community by highlighting the role of women in science, education and decision-making processes at the international level.The main aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, members of the academic community, policymakers and practitioners to engage in discussions on gender equality in science, structural challenges, and opportunities that may contribute to the development of more sustainable and collaboration-based solutions. The event is grounded in the need to reduce gender inequality in science and innovation, promote women’s leadership, and ensure that scientific progress is based on equality and equal opportunities.
