On 20.08.2026, the godfathers of slam come to Kulturhaus Insel: INTERNAL BLEEDING, live in Berlin on their Europe 2026 tour.
For over thirty years, Long Island's Internal Bleeding haven't just been part of the underground extreme music scene – they shaped it. Their 1995 debut Voracious Contempt defined the slam genre and carried the term "slam" to a global audience, combining the power of death metal with grooves inspired by New York hardcore and hip hop. Across seven albums – from the obscene heaviness of The Extinction of Benevolence to the hardcore-tinged attack of Driven to Conquer – they've laid down a blueprint imitated and revered by countless bands worldwide.
This summer they tour their seventh and most aggressive album yet, Settle All Scores (2025, Maggot Stomp). Founding guitarist and "godfather of slam" Chris Pervelis leads the current lineup through three decades of chugging grooves, bulldozing riffs and relentless New York brutality.
