About this Event

Welcome to the Next Level of Bonsai Bar!
Bonsai Bar brings beginner bonsai education out of the hedged-in gardens and out into the streets! Or at least your favorite local breweries and area venues! This time we are back and bringing things to the NEXT LEVEL with new species and more advanced techniques!
We are offering two species this Spring, the Schefflera arboricola and Ficus retusa! Both of these new species have gorgeous, emerald green waxy leaves and lend themselves to so many different styles! Jump in with us and continue your bonsai journey!
We highly recommend that you take our beginner course before, because the fundamental skills you’ve already learned will be put to the test in this new and exciting version of Bonsai Bar!
Intermediate Species: Ficus retusa
In this workshop, you will receive a gorgeous Ficus retusa! These trees are native to Southern and Eastern Asia and have gorgeous emerald green, waxy leaves. These are resilient and graceful trees with beautifully characteristic bark. They produce buds readily from anywhere, and if cared for properly; the Ficus can even develop aerial roots that can help this tree grow into a dominant Banyan style tree!

So what are you waiting for?!?!
Get your bonsai pals back together and take the next step into this exciting art form!
