Intermediate Obedience Dog Training Group Class - 1/18/25 - 11am - 8 Weeks - 1 Hour

** MUST PRE-REGISTER **

If you have already taken and graduated a basic manners & obedience class and your dog is able to perform the basic commands with distractions then this is the class for you! Continue to build on and grow your dog's obedience in more public areas while learning more advanced commands and leash manners.

We will meet for one hour every Saturday starting January 18 2025 at 11am for 8 weeks. The locations will in in the Phoenix West & Central Valley and will increase in traffic and distraction difficulty along with increasingly difficult curriculum every week; thus to excel in this class you should be prepared to train for a total of an hour a day.

Locations and details for each class will be sent out to class participants every week.

To be successful in this class your dog must be able to perform the following commands with distractions:

1. Name Recall

2. Sit

3. Watch

4. Stand

5. Down

6. Off

7. Stay

8. Come

9. Non-Reactive Leash Manners

This class will cover the following commands and dog training skills while helping you formulate clear expectations for your dog and following through on those expectations.

1. Long lead line distance basic commands through verbal cues and through hand signals

2. Long lead line distraction recalls

3. Heel/Reel - stationary & with movement

4. Front

5. Middle

6. Back & Boundary Control

7. Place (need to have a duration stay and release word prior)

8. Practicing Poliet Greetings

9. Advanced leash manners with distractions/obstacles

*** This will be practiced at very busy parks and mall locations

10. Leash manners while walking with other dogs

11. Leash Walking Safety Protocols

* Liability Form to be filled out

* Packet of training commands provided

* Must commit to a total of one hour of practice daily for success

* Your furbaby must be able to handle being around other people and dogs without excessive reactivity
