Overview
203: Intermediate Longform is an 8-class course designed to help improvisers grow from solid scenework into full, satisfying longform pieces. Through ensemble exercises, feedback, and practice with core formats, students will learn how to create connected, dynamic shows—scenes that are fun in the moment and rewarding over time.
This course emphasizes collaboration, clarity, and play, helping students recognize patterns, build momentum, and make strong, supportive choices across multiple scenes.
Note: This class has an optional graduation performance. See dates listed below.
Key course topics:
- Sustaining and connecting scenes
- Recognizing and heightening patterns
- Openings and inspiration from a suggestion
- Making strong edits and transitions: sweeps, walk-ons, tag-outs etc.
- Group games and ensemble play
- Revisiting ideas and characters
- Callbacks and thematic connections
- Longform formats: Armando, La Ronde, Monoscene, Flower Format
Pre-requisites:
- Introduction to Improv (101)
- Introduction to Longform Improv (103)
- Intermediate Improv (201)
- Ages 18+
Our TBC Course Structure Explained:
Our courses and classes have 2 defining numbers. The first number defines the level.
100 series - Introductory
200 series - Intermediate
300 series - Advanced
etc.
Then the 01, 02, 03 etc. defines the type of class.

This course is in our intermediate 200 series, and will be taking you through advancing and deepending your longform skills.
Your teacher:
Gregor is a professional classically trained actor who has studied, taught and worked all over the UK. His performance range spans everything from Shakespeare's protagonists to "that background tree". He brings an inclusive and kind nature to teaching and you will leave every class with an a-ha moment!
