Limited free parking is available in the deck underneath the Library building.
Library of Virginia archivists Courtney Thompson and Nathan Verilla will discuss a variety of records that are often overlooked when doing family history research, such as Virginia penitentiary records, Prohibition Commission records, state mental hospital records, court order books, business records and militia commission records.
Plan to arrive early to sign up for a Library of Virginia card at the circulation desk before the workshop begins.
