About this Event
Intermediate/Advanced Handbuilding Course
Ready to take your handbuilding skills to the next level? This 4-week course is designed for artists with some handbuilding experience who want to learn new techniques, explore more complex forms, and push their creativity further.
We’ll explore hard slabs, soft slabs, and coils (yes, coils really can be fun once you understand them!). Projects may include pitchers, jars, teapots, large vases, and sculptural work. You’ll learn new tips, tricks, and techniques that you can take with you into all of your future handbuilding projects.
Want to work on your own projects? That’s welcome too! Use class time to receive personalized coaching and feedback on your in-progress work while continuing to build your skills.
What’s Included?
- 25 lbs. of clay
- Open studio time between classes to continue projects or practice techniques
- Free glazing and firings
- Access to studio equipment and materials as needed

Whether you want to master new techniques, tackle more ambitious forms, or simply become a more confident handbuilder, this course gives you the instruction, studio time, and support to make it happen.
