Intermediate - Advanced Ceramics: Hand Building & Wheel Throwing

For Ages 12 - 18 – No class on October 14th, Pasadena Art Night. Class will meet for a total of 9 times. Focus on more advanced instruction on the wheel, teaching how to throw vases, lids, large-scale bowls, and more. You'll also experiment with methods of glazing with a variety of high and low-fire clays and glazes. This class is structured for students who have experience with ceramics, and have taken a ceramics class in the past. All materials and kiln firings are provided and included in the price of the class. Additionally, at least once throughout the session, the class will tour At the Table, a group exhibition on view at the Armory that explores our intimate and communal relationships with food and investigates the many ways these connections were severed or challenged during the 2020-21 lockdown triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Masks are required inside the Armory for all students and visitors. We are requiring proof of vaccination for ALL studio participants, please note that there will be no exemptions. Please read our onsite class safety protocols
