Cellist, Lewis Patzner, and pianist, Jonathan Alford, present a concert of mixed genres featuring music by Bach, Debussy, and themselves.
About this Event

This month's concert is a duo called the Interlopers, which features one of our founders, Lewis Patzner! He will be playing cello alongside pianist Jonathan Alford.

These two will be bringing a new, unique flavor to our series as they are both steeped in the musical worlds of classical and jazz, and their program will showcase a tantalizing blend of these influences.

September 19th's concert will feature two seminal classical works, the Bach Gamba Sonata in D and the Debussy Cello Sonata, as well as original works by Alford and Patzner. Audiences will also hear improvisatory takes on songs by Hensel and Coleridge-Taylor. There will be beauty, chaos, excitement, and peace, but above all, passion!

Concert begins at 7:30 at St. Paul Lutheran, Oakland, tickets are a suggested donation of $20.
