About this Event
The winter season correlates with the time of the Ancestors. The ancestral cycle of death & rebirth follows nature as it goes dormant--leaves fall from trees, the air is cooler and the nights are longer. The Ancestors guard this time for our healing to hibernate, slow down and go within.
Cross-culturally, our Ancestors held sacred the stories of our lineages and they watched over future generations. Connecting with the healed energies of our family line can assist us in anchoring into a personal spiritual practice that keeps us resourced in an ever-changing world.
In this experiential workshop, we will call in the energies of our healed lineage and tap into ancient memory as we create ancestors dolls using a mix of recycled and upcycled materials. Attendance will be required for both days to complete the doll.
Join Camara Meri Rajabari, LMFT for a weekend workshop honoring our ancestors as resources for our health and healing. In this workshop, we will discuss ways to create a unique ancestral wellness practice and hand build an ancestral doll. No art experience is required.
Prerequisite: This workshop is for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (POC) clinicians, educators, and community healers.
This is an in-person event. Oakland, CA.
