About this Event
The Workshop
It can be freaking exhausting and overwhelming to be a parent — especially in the world we’re living in right now.
Just meeting your child’s basic needs is a lot. Add in your own childhood wounding, your personal healing journey, the current political chaos, and multiple ongoing global catastrophes? It. Is. Too. Much. To. Hold.
Join Katherine Mancera and Natalíe Ortega – two fierce mamas and therapists – for a workshop supporting overwhelmed parents and caregivers in intergenerational healing.
The workshop combines reflection, embodied practices, and community support so you can:
- Release the generational patterns that are holding you back
- Harness the strengths of your ancestors
- Create a new, juicy, values-aligned vision for the parent you want to be
We’ll gather in the redwood forest in the Oakland hills from 10am to 3pm on May 31. Childcare will be available nearby for children aged 1 to 8.
Together, let’s create a space of cultivation and transformation, holding the hard parts of parenting in this moment while inviting in more joy, alignment, connection, and laughter.
About Natalíe and Katherine
Natalíe Ortega is a mama, queer, cisgender, Latinx, sober, radical, and spiritual. She is a politicized somatic practitioner, first generation, raised in New York and rooted in Oakland. Natalíe is committed to racial justice, young folks, trauma healing, and all things woo. Natalíe offers somatics as an embodied path towards healing and transformation. Folks learn somatic practices that support connection to self, others, spirit and land as well as increases a sense of safety, dignity and belonging.
