Guess what we’re bringing back this September?
Join us at our Intergenerational Death Café in collaboration with The Yellow Door, an event that welcomes individuals across all ages and walks of life to discuss the too often taboo topic of death in a safe and comfortable environment.
At this Intergenerational Death Café, we’ll share experiences, reflections, and questions about death, dying, and bereavement. We’ll journey through topics as vast as the afterlife and as intimate as the legacy we hope to leave behind.
Our goal is to create a space where we can learn from each other and explore different perspectives on this universal human experience. Guiding questions will be available to start the discussion, but the conversation’s direction will unfold naturally, shaped by the voices in the room.

🎟️ This event is free! Capacity is limited due to the nature of the event, so be sure to RSVP asap.
An event during the transition for many of us, from summer to fall, an opportunity to discuss endings and new beginnings, and how death may shape our experiences. Expect to meet new people across many generations, hear fascinating stories, gain insights into your own relationship with death, and leave with new ideas to reflect on. We encourage you to bring an open mind, a sense of curiosity, and a willingness to engage in respectful dialogue with people from different backgrounds and generations.

About your facilitator
David Robinson (he/him) is a crisis intervention worker, workshop facilitator, and member of a mutual support group. He has facilitated workshops on loneliness and togetherness, active listening, and creating + maintaining mutual support groups. He has also hosted numerous conversations on death and dying using the Death Cafe model.
David Robinson (il/lui) est intervenant en situation de crise, animateur d’ateliers et membre d’un groupe de soutien mutuel. Il a animé des ateliers sur la solitude et la solidarité, l’écoute active et la création et le maintien de groupes de soutien mutuel. Il a également animé de nombreuses conversations sur la mort et le décès en utilisant le modèle du Death Cafe.

About The Yellow Door
The Yellow Door aims to promote social inclusion and reduce loneliness among older and younger adults in downtown Montreal. Recognizing that many people feel socially isolated in the city, the Wellness Group program provides all ages with the opportunity to lead, share, and engage in workshops and activities that are community-oriented, creative, and promote holistic wellbeing.
La Porte Jaune vise à promouvoir l'inclusion sociale et à réduire la solitude chez les adultes plus âgés et plus jeunes du centre-ville de Montréal. Reconnaissant que de nombreuses personnes se sentent socialement isolées dans la ville, le programme Wellness Group offre aux personnes de tous âges la possibilité d'animer, de partager et de participer à des ateliers et à des activités axés sur la communauté, la créativité et la promotion d'un bien-être holistique.
