Muslims celebrate Eid twice a year, Eid-ul-Fitr and the other, which comes about 10 weeks later, is called Eid-ul-Adha.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival that marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadhan. This joyous day is celebrated to give thanks for the blessings of Ramadhan. Fasting during Ramadhan inspires sympathy for the hungry and needy, and encourages Muslims to donate generously to the poor.

Eid-ul-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) is a festival which comes about ten weeks after Eid-ul-Fitr, and marks the completion of Hajj (Holy pilgrimage to Mecca). It is the festival of Sacrifice that commemorates the obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (as) and his son Hazrat Ismail(as) to the commandment of Allah.

Lajna Imaillah is an organization dedicated to empowering and uniting women within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It provides a platform for women to come together, support one another, and engage in various religious, educational, and social activities. Lajna Imaillah encourages women to contribute positively to their communities, promoting peace, compassion, and service to humanity. Through its programs and initiatives, Lajna Imaillah strives to foster spiritual growth, leadership skills, and a sense of sisterhood among its members.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association also known as Lajna Ima’illah is an auxiliary organisation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Lajna Ima’illah means handmaids of Allah and was established in December 1922 in India as an independent and empowered women’s organisation by His Holiness Mirza Bashir-ud-din Mahmud Ahmad (may Allah be pleased with him) who was the Community’s second worldwide spiritual head. This year the Lajna are celebrating 100 years since its establishment. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association has over 12000 members in the UK.
