RED VEIN is now hiring for the 2024 season!If you have an insatiable love for scaring and the Halloween season, a strong work ethic, reliable transportation and availability 5/6 weekends throughout September & October, then we're YOUR haunt! Q: What is an interest meeting?
A: During these interest meetings, you’ll be given a quick informational sheet to fill out on who you are and your availability. Then we’ll chat a little bit about your experience and the opportunities we have available. Interested actors might be asked to run through a few quick actor exercises, as well. There is no audition necessary, as we'll be able to train you on the art of the scare!
Q: If I've worked with RED VEIN Haunt in the past, will I need to fill out an application again?
A: Yes! The process resets every season and we have a new schedule, new policies, and need your availability.
Q: Where will this take place?
A. Hanover Vegetable Farm (13580 Ashland Road, Ashland, VA 23005). We'll be at the box office entrance behind the farmer's market and big red barn off Ashland Road.
Q: What if I can't make this meeting?
A: We'll have other opportunities to apply between now and early September. Choose the interest meeting you can attend, or you can always DM us to schedule a phone interview.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Be prepared to chat with us about your haunt experience or interest. You'll also need an idea about your availability during haunt season. If you're interested in an actor role, wear comfortable clothes, as you may be involved in a few exercises. If you want to be part of our makeup team, please bring a portfolio that shows off your work.
Q: Do I need haunt acting experience?
A: Experience is helpful, but not required. We might play some improv games, so a good attitude and willingness to try new things is what’s important.
Q: Do I need to be there the whole time?
A: You may show up at any point.
Q: How old do I need to be?
A: You must be at least 17 to apply.
Q: What is the pay?
A: $12-$15/hour, which includes bonuses and perks depending on availability throughout the season.
