About this Event

What is social accountability?

Social accountability is defined as “The obligation to direct education, research and service activities towards addressing the priority health concerns of the community, region, and/or nation they have a mandate to serve. The priority health concerns are to be identified jointly by governments, health care organizations, health professionals and the public (Boelen et al, 1995).


What is ISACH?

ISACH is a conference designed for learners across the health professions to present and be exposed to research in the area of social accountability and to learn from experts in the field. This is a single day conference that will be held in Hamilton, Ontario in April of 2023 and will be open to all learners in the health care field within Ontario.
