Good for you! No? Me neither! I much prefer naming an intention or a theme. Something short and to the point that will remind me to BE present to a particular quality or ideal.
Here’s an opportunity to set an intention AND to use art to embrace that intention whole-heartedly. We will take time to talk about intentions, name or select an intention, and then create a mandala incorporating your intention into the design. If you don’t already have an intention, you can choose from dozens of possibilities. Sometimes it’s even fun to randomly draw what turns out to be a perfect choice!
You will be guided through drawing a mandala and embellishing it with universal symbols. Learn the meaning of those symbols and colors and how they might influence or reflect your choices. In the end, you will have a unique intention mandala. This class is for all levels of learners, whether you’ve drawn mandalas before or are just learning what they are. You’ll be given as much guidance as you need to create your own beautiful design.
That’s not all! Once you’re happy with your design, it will be heat-pressed onto a 4x4 tile/coaster that you can set your coffee cup on each morning, a daily reminder of your chosen theme.
All supplies will be provided. Beginners welcome. Ages 13 and up.
