Swing Era Steps is offering a 150-minute-long Intensives level on Sunday nights! These Intensives will cover specific topics and push dancers to advance. Intensives are only three weeks long, but double our usual class length with lots of time to learn and practice.

6:30-9:00pm - The Art of Unexpected Connection
We talk about connection in lindy hop all the time, but what about different types of connection? This intensive will explore connections outside our typical "leader's left, follower's right" handhold. Get ready to explore creative ways to connect to your partner using different parts of your body!
Through fun exercises and moves, you'll discover how to adapt, respond, and embrace unexpected connections in your lindy hop. Whether it's an accidental break in connection or an intentional choice, you'll leave this intensive with a toolbox of new ways to stay connected and keep the dance flowing.
To join this intensive, we ask that you are very comfortable with lindy hop basics such as swing outs and six count turns. You've learned sugar pushes, Frankie's Sixes, and have done moves with a crosshand connection (leader and follower right hands connected). You've been dancing for at least 9 months.

9:00-9:30pm - Practice Time
This is time to practice the skills you just learned! Our instructors will be there to answer questions and help you smooth out sticky points.
Our goal? Help you become the best lindy hopper you can be while also having a ton of fun.
