An introduction to common landscape pests and how to manage them sustainably with IPM methods
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a more sustainable approach to managing pests that prioritizes both human and environmental health. This is accomplished by relying on a combination of tools and techniques with prevention at the forefront of every effort.
This training will include an introduction to IPM, an overview of common landscape pests and beneficials, as well as a scouting activity in the gardens.
Approved for the following CEUs: TBD, 2 MAXIMUM
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Please note: Unless you are associated with Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, an additional entry fee is required. These tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
Cost : $20.00 per person (excluding additional Eventbrite fees), free for verified Sarasota County employees and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens personnel.
Advance registration is required. You may buy your tickets online or register to pay at the door. Only exact cash (no change available) or checks will be allowed at the door.
