Met veel genoegen kondigen we de geboorte aan van een nieuwe vorm van Conscious Dance: Instatic Dance Church.
📍Zondag 25 Januari - Academy of the Subtle Arts.
Een plek die ademt als een tempel, een meditatiecentrum gedragen door spirituele diepte, kunst, schoonheid en verstilling.
Na meer dan 12 jaar Ecstatic Dance als danser, en 6 jaar als dj Purusha, spelend voor uiteenlopende vormen van Conscious Dance, voelt dit als een natuurlijke volgende stap.
Een uitnodiging om op zondagnamiddagen een verdiepende dansvorm te delen die volledig resoneert met mijn levenslang pad van Zelf-ont-wikkeling, als spiritueel zoeker en yogi.
Instatic Dance Church is geboren uit de behoefte om af en toe een diepere muzikale dansreis te delen met dansers, een dansreis die ons raakt tot in de essentie van ons spiritueel Bewust Zijn.
Waar Ecstatic Dance vaak werkt met hoge energie en piekervaringen, nodigt Instatic Dance uit tot een stabiele, fundamentele staat van innerlijke vrede.
Geen emotionele piek gevoed door externe prikkels, maar een duurzame staat van zijn.
✨The music journey:
Een dj-set van Purusha zoals je hem kent mystiek en gedragen
met minder beats, meer dansbare mantra’s en medicine music,
gospel, een vleugje blues, mystieke sufi-poëzie.
We laten zang en dans ontstaan. We luisteren. We bewegen.
De regels blijven dezelfde als bij Ecstatic Dance
een veilige container waarin het lichaam vrij mag spreken.

Samenkomen in aanwezigheid, intenties zetten en een veld van veiligheid, vertrouwen en openheid creëren.

Een non-verbale dansreis, vrij van choreografie, gedragen door klank en innerlijke waarheid
🕖19u - Zang - en afsluitcirkel.
Een soulful zangcirkel met Cedric 🎶
Met mantra’s en liederen kanaliseren we de opgebouwde energie via onze stem terug naar stilte.

Auto's parkeren langs de straat of op het kerkplein, of in de Achterstraat aan het Azaleapark.
Trein: Gent-Dampoort + 10 minuten wandeling.
Fietsen kunnen in de Academy geplaatst worden aan de linkerkant in de lange gang.
Deelname €15, cash aan de ingang (€5 korting voor Academy yogis).
Why we dance
We dance to remember what it means to be fully alive.
To shake off the stories that no longer serve
and move with the truth pulsing through our bones.
We dance not to perform, but to feel
to listen beneath the noise
and let our bodies speak where words fall silent.
We dance to return home to ourselves.
To soften the armour, awaken the senses,
and rest in presence.
On this dance floor, there is no right or wrong,
no judgment, no expectation
only breath, beat, and becoming.
We dance to heal.
To grieve. To celebrate. To ground. To rise.
Each step a prayer.
Each movement a remembering.
Because in a world that moves fast and asks us to be more,
we choose to move slow and feel more.
Because in dance, we return to what’s real.
For 6 years dj Purusha has shared lovely dance music for Ecstatic Dance Belgium.

Instatic Dance Church has birthed out of his desire to share a deeper musical dance journey that touches us more profoundly in the spiritual essence of our being.
The rules will be the same as in Ecstatic Dance:
We recommend dancing barefoot, to have direct contact with the earth. �Soft dance shoes might work also if needed.
A 2 hours dance journey without talking, but connecting through movement and dance.
No dance experience needed, come as your are, move as you are.
When the body needs some rest, on the side of the room will be some cushions to sit and be part of the journey in silence.
As a sacred anchoring, there is an altar, a puja.
You can refill your water bottle with plenty of living water.

Address: Academy One Studios - Sint-Amandsberg, Antwerpsesteenweg 197.
Car park in the street or close to the church, or in the Achterstraat around the Azaleapark.
By train: Gent-Dampoort + 10 minute walk.
Bicycles can park on the left in the long corridor of the Academy.
Contribution is €15, pay cash at entrance (€5 reduction for Academy yogis).
Every Conscious Dance gathering is a carefully held container — an arc of energy that moves from grounding to release, from connection to integration.
Here’s how the journey unfolds:
4pm Arrival & check in – We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to ground, settle, and prepare. Wear comfortable clothing that allows your body to move freely and express itself with ease.
4:30pm Opening circle – A brief gathering to come together in presence. We do this in the Namaste (meditation room). Here, we set intentions, connect as a community, and create a shared energetic space of safety, trust, and openness.
Followed by Somatic Movement – We begin with a guided somatic warm-up — an invitation to connect with breath, awaken sensation, and gently prepare your muscles and nervous system for deeper movement.
5pm Instatic Dance Church– A freeform, non-verbal dance space with no choreography, no steps to follow — just sound, rhythm, and your body’s inner truth. Move as you need. Express what’s ready to be felt. Be held by the beat.
7pm Singing and Closing circle –
A soulful singing circle with Cedric 🎶
We return together in stillness, with the option to share reflections, insights, or anything stirred within the journey. This is a space for gentle integration, witnessing, and honouring the experience as it completes.
7:30pm Community time in the beautiful bistro of the Academy Enjoy a vegetarian soup & snack for only €8;
