Bio:
The Merry Rockers are a vibrant, NYC based, reggae band with a powerful mission: to unite people of all backgrounds, abilities, alter-abilities, colors, and creeds through the joy of music.
Founded and fronted by Marissa Lelogeais—a dynamic vocalist and songwriter born with Cerebral Palsy—the band is a living testament to music’s power to break down barriers and build inclusive communities. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Marissa found her voice in the rhythms and messages of reggae legend Bob Marley. His iconic words —“Get up, stand up. Don’t give up the fight”—mirror her own life journey overcoming disability, learning challenges, and low vision.
The Merry Rockers’ songs and performances inspire people of all ages to embrace inclusion, while inviting everyone to become a "Merry Rocker" themselves.
Produced by the world-famous InspiredWordNYC.com series
