Rashmi's Trio is a Queens-based ensemble led by singer-songwriter Rashmi, blending global folk-pop with rich live instrumentation and emotionally resonant songwriting. Rooted in Rashmi’s original work, the trio’s sound moves between intimate, emotionally grounded moments and bold, anthemic release, shaped by the cultural mix of New York’s “World’s Borough.”
Bassist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Kendall brings a fluid, genre-spanning approach—drawing from Brazilian, jazz, Americana, and experimental traditions—while drummer Luigi Gennaro adds rhythmic depth influenced by rock, funk, jazz, and improvisational music. Together, they create a sound that is textured, expansive, and alive in performance.
