Have you ever wondered how you can make a difference in the world? Well, that is exactly what Alice wondered.
Alice’s life unfolds like a traveling storybook: from a windswept seaside childhood and her grandfather’s whispered charge to “make the world more beautiful,” she crosses oceans and continents gathering songs, dances, and the living memories of people. Each vignette—city bustle and library quiet, European cobblestones, Asian temples, African drums, South American jungles, island shores, and the silent light of the ice—adds a thread to her tapestry of heritage, faith, and friendship.
Wounded and healed, hopeful and wise, she returns home with a journal full of stories that transform memory into a gift for others. Our Roots give us Wings and this year Inspired Dance’s production is a celebration of legacy and belonging: a journey of curiosity, resilience, and the gentle power of stories that stitch the world more beautifully together.
