Inspired by the Land: Art in the Parks is a free outdoor celebration of art, nature, and community held during California State Parks Week at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park. The event invites people of all ages to experience the park through creativity, hands-on activities, and connection with local artists and makers.
Visitors can explore and shop artist booths featuring original artwork and handmade goods, watch live demonstrations, enjoy live music and local food vendors, and participate in interactive art activities throughout the park. Featured experiences include guided and self-guided creative walks, nature journaling, paint-alongs beneath the redwoods, community art projects, workshops, and a kids’ craft zone with activities for all ages.
Inspired by the Land highlights the connection between creativity and the natural world while encouraging people to slow down, and discover new experiences in California's State Parks.

Eco-Somatic Expressive Arts Walk
Host: Dr. Rhea Komarek
Info: Join Dr. Rhea for a guided creative walk along Redwood Trail exploring the theme of Mutualism — the reciprocal relationships that keep ecosystems healthy and connected. Through gentle movement, observation, writing, and art prompts inspired by the surrounding forest, participants will be invited to creatively respond to elements of the landscape such as towering redwoods, flowing creek water, and moss-covered rocks. The guided experience ends in a peaceful creekside grove where Dr. Rhea will host community art making inspired by the walk, along with optional poetry readings where participants are invited to share writings created during the experience. Art supplies will be provided.

Paint-Along Under the Redwoods
Host: Napa Valley Painting
Info: Join Napa Valley Painting for an acrylic paint-along beside Ritchey Creek in the redwoods. No experience needed and all supplies will be provided. Ages 13+.
Free to attend. Limited to 20 participants; register in advance. Instructions in English and Spanish.
