Insights into Eliza R. Snow's Life and Work

Eliza R. Snow was one of the most well-known and recognized Latter-day Saint women in the nineteenth century. Beloved for her poetry and hymns, Snow was a powerhouse of council and guidance for the Church, organizing, teaching, mentoring, and ministering to her fellow Saints. In this lecture, drawing from Rise Up and Speak, editors Sharalyn Howcroft and Elizabeth Kuehn Mahas offer new insights into Eliza R. Snow’s personality, her extensive ministry, and her call to the women of the Church to find their voice, be actively involved in their communities and the world, and build connection and sisterhood.

Event Details

The event is free and open to the public, but we do ask that you register for it.

Should all available tickets be registered for, there will be a standby line available

Doors to the auditorium open at 6:30pm. Please be in your seat by 6:50pm. Seating assignments are given on a first come, first serve basis. If you are not seated by ten minutes before the presentation begins, your seat may be given to those waiting on standby.

If you can no longer attend the event, please cancel your ticket(s) to allow others to register.

Parking

We recommend parking for free in the parking lot behind the Church History Museum. Parking opens to the public at 4:00pm. If that lot becomes filled, overflow parking will be available under the Conference Center.

Note: Should you park under the Conference Center, please see the front desk at the museum for a validation ticket.

Additional parking is also available at City Creek Mall. The first two hours are free and a $3.00 charge for each hour following.
