Insider Gaze: Paris Photo 2026

This year, the world celebrates the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography—a historic milestone that transforms France into the center of a nationwide commemoration reflecting on photography's past, present, and future. At the heart of this global moment is Paris. Already one of photography's greatest capitals, the city will become especially vibrant this November during Paris Photo, the world's leading art fair dedicated to photography. During the bicentennial year, Paris will host an unprecedented concentration of exhibitions, events, conversations, publications, and celebrations.

HOW DOES WOPHA JOIN THIS CELEBRATION?

WOPHA will travel to Paris alongside Founder & Director Aldeide Delgado, board members, and guests to celebrate this historic moment in photography. As part of Insider Gaze, our signature behind-the-scenes program, this special edition creates opportunities for meaningful encounters with artists, curators, collectors, gallerists, and cultural institutions at the forefront of contemporary photography. Through private receptions, curator-led tours, studio visits, intimate conversations, and exclusive cultural experiences, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the people, ideas, and networks that shape the photography ecosystem.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

To provide participants with the flexibility to customize their stay in Paris, airfare, accommodations, local transportation, meals not specifically included in the program, and travel insurance are not included in the participation fee. Upon registration, participants will receive recommended hotel options, transportation guidance, and practical information to assist with travel planning.

Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by art historian and curator Aldeide Delgado to research, promote, support, and educate on the contributions of women and non-binary photographers to modern and contemporary art in order to rewrite the artistic canon and provoke social change. WOPHA fosters a more diverse and equitable world by providing a permanent archive for future generations that preserves, documents, and promotes women photographers’ work while being a driving force for innovative thinking and discussion about the role of women in photographic arts.
