Inside Leadership is a new event brought to you by the teams at Brighton Chamber, PLATF9RM and Freedom Works, giving you the chance to hear from someone who’s already navigated a successful business through that stage. Designed to bring together leaders from across our networks to hear from founders who know the joys and rewards that also come with the growing pains.

We’re kicking off our first Inside Leadership event with Kate Prince, Founder and CEO of Ancient + Brave – a mission-led, B-Corp wellness brand, and one of the UK’s fastest growing businesses.

Launched in 2018 and based in Lewes, Ancient + Brave now employs over 100 people, having gone through multiple funding rounds and built a global following. Kate knows the realities of scaling a business: building a brand, leading a growing team, managing risk, creating purposeful products and making big decisions without always having a blueprint.

In conversation with Ellie Dobing, Co-Director of Yada Yada Audio Productions and Co-Owner/Director of Brighton Gin, we’ll hear about her journey, from the early days to where the business is now. And, how it’s possible to grow a business with transparency, sustainability and innovation at its heart.

What to expect

• Arrive from 5.30pm for a complimentary welcome drink
• From 6.00–7.00pm, hear from Kate Prince in conversation, followed by audience Q&A
• Stay on afterwards for informal networking and a paid bar

You’ll also have the chance to ask Kate your own questions and meet with other business leaders in the room. Leave with a sprinkling of inspiration and new ideas, from a room full of like-minded people who are growing or scaling their own businesses with thoughtful leadership in mind.

Can I attend if I’m not a member? Yes – if you’ve never been a member of Brighton Chamber, you’re welcome to join us as a guest at up to two events (including just one Chamber Breakfast). After that, you’ll need to become a member to continue attending.
