About this Event

Inside Creativity: Brain & Imagination

Step inside an evening that asks what really happens in the brain when a new idea appears, an image forms, or a story begins to unfold. Hosted by St Edmund Hall’s Centre for the Creative Brain, this event brings together speakers from neuroscience and the arts to explore imagination from multiple angles, with short, accessible talks and plenty of time for questions. You do not need any scientific background, just curiosity about how minds work and why creativity feels so central to being human.

Whether you are a student, researcher, artist, or simply interested in thinking differently, this is a chance to connect with a community that cares about both rigorous science and rich creative experience, with opportunities to chat with speakers and other attendees over the break, and to reflect on your own imaginative habits.
