Interested in joining an interdisciplinary student team to create solutions to real life challenges proposed by companies, regional governments and local non-profit organizations?

The Innovation Sprints program engages students from all disciplines to combine their collaborative, problem-solving, and educational skills to develop innovative solutions through the lens of entrepreneurship. Through this program, students have an opportunity to work on systematic challenges in a collaborative environment. Some past partnerships include: City of San Diego, SANDAG, the San Diego Zoo, San Diego International Airport and, Radical Science, Runbuggy, and JLabs.

Attend the Innovation Sprints Info Session to learn more about the challenges, meet the challenge sponsors, network with other students, and have your questions answered by Basement staff.

Directions to The Basement

The Basement is located on the first floor (room 151) of the . The entrances are located across from the or next to the bus and trolley stop.

MTS Trolley

The easiest way to get to the DIB is by taking the MTS trolley UC San Diego Blue Line and getting off at the UC San Diego Central Campus stop. The trolley stop is a short 1 minute walk to the DIB.

Parking

Public transportation is highly recommended as parking is limited on campus. If you plan to drive to campus, please give yourself plenty of time. You can download the ParkMobile app to pay for your space digitally once you find a spot.
