About this Event
Dallas’ future is being shaped not only by policymakers, CEOs, and nonprofit leaders, but also by the young people already organizing in schools, neighborhoods, and online. Today’s youth are redefining civic leadership through activism, entrepreneurship, and creative storytelling—and they’re demanding a seat at the table on issues that matter to them.
This Social Innovation Luncheon will feature a panel of the next generation of leaders from North Texas who are already driving change. They will share how their lived experiences fuel their activism, what barriers they face when trying to influence decision-making, and what they wish older generations understood about their generation’s priorities.
Featured Speakers:
- Prisma Garcia, Trustee, District 4, DISD
- John Bowers, City Council, Place 6, Rowlett & Sr. Associate, JPMorgan Chase & Co.
- Nick Marino, Director of the Center for Business Impact, Communities Foundation of Texas
- Glenn Ayars, Assistant Director for Programming and Engagement, Office of Arts and Culture, City of Dallas
