Join USGBC-CA San Diego for a dynamic, women-led startup showcase, where innovative women-majority owned startups present their groundbreaking ideas in sustainability.

Engage with passionate entrepreneurs as they share their projects, and cast your vote to help determine the winner. The top team will receive prizes including free memberships to USGBC-California, empowering them to continue their green building journey. This event is a collaboration between Women+ in Green SD and Dreaming Earth Incubator, and a part of this year's San Diego Design Week.

Women-led teams pitch their ideas to an audience of green building professionals. We all get to choose the winners, network, and engage with passionate entrepreneurs! Prizes will be given to the top three teams.

With Women+ In Green SD, we focus on creating safe spaces for expression. Belonging is the theme, and Steffi Reyes-Thomas, Chair of Women+ In Green & Stacey Murphy with Dreaming Earth Incubator, will be hosting.

Woman-led startups are unique in that they are often fluid in perspective. The top team will receive prizes, including free memberships to USGBC-California, dedicated to fostering equality and innovation.

Cost of attendance:

• Free for USGBC-CA members (sign in to the Community Hub to access the member codes here - if you are an SDGBC member, check your past emails for the code for a complimentary year of membership to USGBC-CA)
• $25 for non-members (free for kids under 15)
• $10 for students (please use your .edu email address to register)

About Women+ in Green SD:

Women+ in Green is a platform for quarterly events designed to strengthen the message of equality and empower people of marginalized genders in the green building and sustainability sectors.

Event topics range from leadership to self-development and understanding equality gaps in the green building sector. This committee was inspired by the national movement and Women in Green conversations taking place in USGBC communities around the country. In San Diego, the committee is led by our volunteers and local leaders in the green building movement.
Women + in Green is a safe space. We create inclusive and warm environments for our community. We welcome people of all gender identities and expressions at our events. Please note that while many of our educational events center on women's experiences, our goal is to hold conversations for all people who have experienced misogyny. We seek to empower those who need it most.
