About this Event
In this workshop, students will learn about how to use natural forageables and common garden plant material to create their own inks! We will also be making paper to test our new inks on. Join us to learn about these eco friendly art projects!
In our workshop series "Goin' and Growin'", students will get the chance to get outdoors and connect to nature while creating beautiful art along the way! This summer, LSA is partnering with Urban Farms and Community Gardens across the city of Buffalo to promote community based creativity and environmentally friendly art. From painting to photography, this series offers learning experiences for all ages!
All proceeds from this workshop series will go towards LSA's free community art class fund and the partnering Urban Farm or Community Garden. To learn more about Locust Street Art visit www.locuststreetart.org or email [email protected]

About Massachusetts Avenue Project
"Started by neighborhood residents on Buffalo's West Side in 1992, the Massachusetts Avenue Project was incorporated in 2000. MAP's Growing Green Program was founded in 2003 to address the growing land vacancy, high youth unemployment, and food security needs of the community.
Since that time, Growing Green has created more than 650 jobs for West Side teenagers, and since 2007, has helped 95% of our participants graduate from high school and enroll in college! We have also developed models for sustainable urban food production and youth leadership, increased healthy food access throughout Buffalo, and built partnerships to promote regional food system development.
MAP has provided employment and direct training to hundreds of low income youth in Buffalo in the areas of sustainable urban agriculture, social enterprise development, organizing and advocacy, and food systems development." To learn more about Massachusetts Avenue Project, visit their website.
