About this Event
Welcome to Injury-Free Training for Runners at Sports Basement Almaden.
Beginning January 15, this 5-week series runs from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm and offers runners a smarter, more sustainable approach to staying injury-free while improving efficiency and ease.
Led by Coach Michael Holland, this series draws from decades of experience working with runners, triathletes, and athletes of all sports — as well as his own journey through overtraining, chronic injury, and a total hip replacement at age 45. That experience reshaped how he trains athletes today, shifting the focus from pushing harder to understanding movement, breath, recovery, and the nervous system.
Each session blends foundational running patterns, breathwork, and simple strength practices designed to help you feel meaningful changes in your body — often immediately. The emphasis is on awareness, not intensity; efficiency, not force.
This series is ideal for runners, triathletes, and athletes of all levels who want to break the cycle of recurring pain and train with greater confidence and longevity.
