**This workshop is adressed to students with interest in general surgery, paediatric surgery, urology and gynaecology. It can also serve as a refresher course for residents that need more training.
**You will receive a certificate for completion of Basic Laparoscopic Skills(Level1) hands-on Workshop

@Participation fee(paid in cash when you arrive at the workshop)
150 lei/ participant ( For level2 includes 1 pcs suture thread + needle for practicing intracorporeal knots&sutures ).
Limited to 8 participants/ workshop:
2 participants( working together as a team) on a simulator taking turns(surgeon<>camera assistant).
Medical uniform(scrubs) dresscode is not needed, you can come in comfortable clothes, and we can provide you with scrubs if you want to look good in pictures ;)
*Compared to other laparoscopy workshops(organised for students) we have the highest variety of laparoscopic instruments and the most realistic simulators , while maintaining the lowest fee/participant
( we have our own appartament so we don't pay for renting the space, and our simulators are built by our biomedical engineers with lower costs that buying them),
*We are constantly improving our simulators and investing in instruments

FOR LEVEL1:
The purpose of this workshop is to:
*Familiarise yourself with the equipment and instruments used in laparoscopic surgery(minimally invasive surgery), allow manipulation of objects within a laparoscopic environment.
* Test your hand eye coordination, patience, tremor control, stress management, so you can decide if you want to become a surgeon.
The workshop consists of 2 parts:
Part1) Power point presentation with clinical use cases, applications of laparoscopy, presentation of the instruments , equipment: aprox 40 min
Part2) Hands-on: Training on the simulators... Test your hand-eye coordination , intracorporeal knots&sutures skills on the simulators, each workstation has a different task/game: 2,5 - 3 hours with breaks

FOR LEVEL2
Congratulations! you proved that you have the skills and patience to do laparoscopy, and you are now ready for the next challenge!
During the LEVEL2 workshop you will learn some tips&tricks for improving your skills and finesse and practicing intracorporeal and extracorporeal knots. Also you will have the opportunity to practice simulated operations on silicone training model of a gallbladder and appendix , that will prepare you for Level3(practice on biological material)
