Led by Rev. Misty-Dawn ShellyOur multigenerational worship service will be a creative retelling of “Water Not Wine,” based on African and Chinese folk tales and retold by Elisa Davy Pearmain. All are invited to bring a sampling of water from your summer adventures or from a summer of work and sameness. This could be from the ocean, from the rain barrel, or from the faucet in your home or a place you’ve visited over the summer. As we begin a new congregational year by mingling our various contributions of water, our story asks us to consider how we might share our gifts and rededicate ourselves to the shared values of Unitarian Universalism. Rev. Shelly will lead our worship service with multiple participants of all ages.
As worship ends, we will move to the front lawn and affirm our presence as a beacon of liberal religion in a Ceremony of Rededication. This ceremony is the culmination of our 300th Anniversary year events. We hope you will participate and be part of UUCSW history.
