The Community of St. Peter continues its Informed Voter Series on June 24th at 6:30pm with the topic of Income Inequality. The conversation will be led by Dr. David Lay Williams, professor at Depaul University and author of the book The Greatest of All Plagues: How Economic Inequality Shaped Political Thought from Plato to Marx.
With Dr. Williams guidance, we will take a deep dive into income inequality, and why it is the worst problem that can plague a society both historically and today. According to the Federal Reserve, the net worth of America’s top 1% reached nearly 32% of total U.S. wealth in the third quarter of 2025. In contrast, the bottom 50% of Americans together held only about 2.5% of total net wealth. Join us for the timely and important program.
Community of St. Peter is located at 7100 Euclid Ave. There is free public parking available behind the building off 71st Street, and the building is handicap accessible. All are welcome!
