Join us in person to find out all about The Parks Youth Theatre production of Hadestown Teen Edition for participants aged 14-19 years old.
You will hear directly from the production team about their ideas and what they are looking for at auditions, and you will be given an opportunity to ask questions. Those who attend the information night will be the first to receive the information pack and audition booking links.
Auditions will be held on the 11th and 18th November.

Hadestown: Teen Edition is a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
Participants will be required to pay a production fee of $445 which will include most costumes and professional photos.
Rehearsals will commence in the December and January school holidays and then will be on Fridays and Sundays until April school holiday performances.
