Infobip Connect - Nairobi Tech Meetup

Dear devs, startups, and tech enthusiasts,

Our second stop on 'Infobip Connect Meetups' tour this February is Nairobi! ??

The mission of our meetups is to present local tech initiatives and to introduce Infobip Developer Community tools and solutions, which are increasingly popular among developers and Infobip Startup Tribe that help startups from all over the globe achieve their goals.

⏳ About speakers:

Wayne Gakuo

Wayne Gakuo is a Frontend Engineer who is constantly learning the best practices of architecting software using Angular, while having scalability, maintainability, and user needs in mind. Aside from work, Wayne leads Angular Kenya which trains budding developers to become proficient Angular developers. In his free time, Wayne loves watching documentaries and playing video games, trying to get better at FIFA.

Daisy Isiaho

A strong commercial leader currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at Zuri Health. She holds Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Daisy is the recipient of several awards, which include being appointed as an International Peace Ambassador by Universal Peace Federation Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace, Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award 2022 winner and top 25 Women in Digital 2022.

Josiah Njuki

Software Engineer with 10+ years of industrial experience in software projects discovery, planning, design, development, implementation and integration, quality assurance, deployment, and optimization. Josiah was previously the Digital Lead for Jubilee Insurance's Medical business before joining Infobip as an Enterprise Pre-sales Engineer. Josiah holds a Bsc. in Computer Science from Kenyatta University. He is currently a senior Implementation Consultant at Infobip.

Julia Biro

Head of Developer Relations at Infobip by day, half of Developer Avocados Weekly by night. Julia deeply cares about developer communities and building a great developer experience from the ground up. She is passionate about creating a DevRel team and strategy that best serves their developer communities.

Nikola Pavesic

Born and raised in Croatia, studied in Italy, Switzerland and the UK, with tenure in Tanzania and Japan. Nikola has worked in the public sector for the UN which is how he originally arrived in Japan in 2011. He has worked in tech for a long time - he ran startups and worked with Nikkei in Tokyo. Nikola is currently leading the Startup Ecosystem department at Infobip and supporting tech ecosystems around the world.
