About Alissa Moody: Co-Founder and Art Enthusiast
Growing up in a family who put great emphasis on all things art, Alissa has always had a passion for supporting the arts in her community and at large during her travels. Now with two children, Alissa continues to seek out opportunities to immerse herself, children, and family into the arts. She discovered the need for a process based art studio in her community, and with the help of her talented friend and art teacher, Chrissy, set out to bring this vision to a reality in her community. Alissa also has years of pediatric experience, serving as a Pediatric Physical Therapist at both Peyton Manning and Riley Children’s Hospitals for over 13 years. Alissa is also on the board of Love, Broad Ripple, which helps to cultivate a vibrant community by supporting and promoting local merchants.
About Chrissy Sweigart - Co-Founder and Youth Art Educator
Chrissy has been involved in art since the time she could a hold a paintbrush. Chrissy followed her family’s love for art into pursuing her BS in Visual Arts All Grade from Ball State University. Chrissy has taught art for over 20 years from ages preschool and up in a multitude of settings. She has taught in parochial, private, and public schools in both Indianapolis and Chicago. She has also created art extravaganza summer art camps, been a member of the Indianapolis Children’s Museum Guild where she helped to bring the Haunted House to life, and most recently taught early childhood through lower school art at Sycamore School in Indianapolis.
