International Women’s Day 2026 carries the theme #GiveToGain - the belief that progress toward gender equality accelerates when opportunity, influence, knowledge, trust, and sponsorship are intentionally shared.
But there’s a harder question underneath it: If women are continually encouraged to give - time, access, emotional labour, mentorship, insight - how do we ensure they are also building wealth, equity, and ownership in equal measure?
This event brings together people for a candid, commercially grounded conversation about power. Not performative empowerment. Not titles or optics. But what actually shifts influence and builds lasting wealth.
Together, we’ll explore:
Generosity can accelerate influence - but without ownership, it often extracts more than it builds. When does giving compound power, and when does it quietly deplete it?
Empowerment language is not the same as power. Real power shows up in equity, capital, decision-making authority, and control of outcomes.
Sponsorship creates leverage; unpaid labour erodes it. Knowing the difference and having criteria for your yes is critical.
Visibility is not ownership. Titles and networks mean little if influence doesn’t convert into wealth and long-term accumulation.
Strategic generosity should compound your position, not dilute it. At leadership level, giving must build systems, not just support individuals.
