Detroit's Ritual Howls blend post-punk, industrial, soundtrack, and musique concrète into stark, cinematic soundscapes. The trio includes Paul Bancell on vocals and guitar, Chris Samuels on synth, samples, and drum machine, and Ben Saginaw on bass. Their self-titled debut was released in 2012 on Urinal Cake Records and reissued by Felte in 2022 for its tenth anniversary. Known for their brooding atmosphere and vivid imagery,
they have spent over a decade shaping the landscape of dark post-punk. Their fifth album, Virtue Falters, sharpens their signature mix of baritone vocals, macabre lyrics, and industrial death-jangle into a more focused and cathartic sound.
Detroit-based singer/songwriter/producer/healer Erin Berry alchemizes her dreams into the loosest definition of pop music through emotive songwriting and synth oriented productions. Formerly of duo Torus Eyes, she currently performs as Gwendolyn Dot, an otherworldly music
persona founded in 2013. This is a record release show for her new album Psyche, coming out on Detroit Industrial.
Pod Blotz, the moniker of artist and musician Suzy Poling, is a multifaceted exploration of sound, performance, and visual art. Suzy Poling, now based in Detroit, MI, is known for her boundary-pushing work that merges elements of techno, post-industrial, and idm music with a visual aesthetic steeped in surrealism and alien visions.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of influences, including science fiction, horror, and avant-garde art, Poling's sonic and visual creations transport audiences to otherworldly realms, blurring the lines between the tangible and the abstract. Through her immersive performances and installations, she invites viewers to delve into the depths of the subconscious and confront the uncanny and the unknown.
Mission to the Sun emerges like an arcane ritual, a sonic journey through the hidden realms of the occult. Chris Samuels(synths, samples, sequencing) and Kirill Slavin (vocals) channel third mind energies to craft ethereal melodies, pulsating rhythms, and hypnotic synth textures. Drawing inspiration from ancient mysticism and esoteric knowledge, Mission to the Sun's music weaves a spellbinding tapestry of sound that resonates with the otherworldly. Each composition is a gateway to realms unseen, where the boundaries between the physical and spiritual blur, inviting listeners to embark on a journey to the inner reaches of outer space.
