In celebration of the APA Heritage Month, the Friends of Indonesia with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco presents

INDONESIAN BAZAAR

⏰ Saturday, May 21, 2022 | 11.00 AM – 3.00 PM (PDT)

This year, Indonesia will spice up San Franciscans by bringing delicious traditional cuisine from various tropical islands in Indonesia. Indulge yourself in some popular dishes such as beef Rendang, sambal, satay, Indonesian specialty coffee, and many more!

You will also be fascinated by the richness of Indonesian culture and traditional performances!

We will be showcasing the uniqueness of our textile art ‘Batik’ in a Fashion Show. Batik is a traditional hand-crafted dye-resist textile rich in intangible cultural values. It is known as a UNESCO World Heritage!

Come to celebrate the diversity!

Nusa SF

Jennifer Huang is the chef and owner behind NusaSF. They are a part of La Cocina organization. Friends of Indonesia is able to host this Bazaar because of her. She will serve us classic Indonesian delights, such as 1000 layers cake, Kue lapis, Nastar and fresh made Klepon. She will add one savory dish to her lineup—an Indonesian yellow Rice and Tofu Plate.


Dapoer Ngebul

Chef Henny Minderman and her husband Amin are the dynamic duo, chefs and owners behind Dapoer Ngebul. They will create a few authentic Indonesian dishes such as Nasi Padang Tumpeng, (Indonesian rice plate with beef Rendang and other sides), Sate Ayam Madura, Empek - Empek (Indonesian fishcakes) and Roti Longjohn (Indonesian Donut). She is from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia which located on northwest coast of Java.


ICM (Indo Culinair en Markt)

Grace Ling and Lionny Natawidjaja are two Indonesian businesswomen that own Indo Culinair en Markt. They will bring Indonesian groceries to the Bazaar. An assortments of unique and delicious packaged goods from the archipelago that has been known as the Spice Islands since the 16th century.


SanDai USA

Nora Haron is the Director of Culinary behind the new and upcoming SanDai USA Restaurant. Chef Nora Haron has been known in the Bay Area and beyond for her delicious cooking, beautiful presentation and amazing vision. SanDai is inspired by Chef Nora’s diverse South East Asian background, including Indonesia. Her Grandmother is from the island of Java. SanDai will be modern Southeast Asian meals and cafe fare inspired by Singaporean and Indonesian cuisine. The restaurant will be located in downtown Walnut Creek. She will create Jajan in the jar and Gado - Gado with seasonal ingredients for this Indonesian Bazaar.


MyNonika

Lili Jiang is the owner and designer behind MyNonika. MyNonika is a web-based marketplace that sells curated products and Batik from Indonesia. She will come all the way from Oklahoma City to San Francisco to showcase her Batik collection. Batik is an ancient art form from Indonesia, made with wax resistant dye on fabric. Batik is very important to Indonesians and many people wear it to formal and casual event.


Kirimachi LLC

Febry Arnold from Kirimachi LLC will represent her Indonesian roots with two Indonesian ice desserts, Es Doger and Es Teler. These ice drinks are exactly what you need to complete your adventures with the exotic and delicious Indonesian offerings. Kirimachi LLC is a Ramen restaurant at Embarcadero Center. They are a very community-driven small business that is always willing to support the Indonesian community cause.
