This 50-hour comprehensive prenatal yoga teacher training is for yoga teachers, students with 2-years of practice, midwives, doulas and other health professionals who are interested in teaching yoga to expecting parents. All participants must have completed a 200-hour basic teacher training or have at least two years of yoga practice. All participants must have a working knowledge of basic alignment principles.Indigo’s Prenatal Teacher Training program invites students to utilize the practice of yoga to support pregnant mamas and new parents physically, mentally and emotionally. By training teachers, it is our hope to grow our community and increase awareness that prenatal yoga can be an integral part of the pregnancy experience.
You will learn how to teach yoga to expecting parents in all stages of pregnancy and throughout the early stages of postpartum. We believe this is a sacred time in people's lives and, as their teacher, you have the opportunity to intimately support them across this threshold.
A certificate of completion will be awarded after full participation in the 50-hour training, finishing a take home exam, teaching a practicum and observing 10 prenatal yoga classes. This training qualifies as continuing education if you are registered with Yoga Alliance. This training will also include Prenatal class observations, videos to review and reading assignments.
On our first day of the training, you will receive your manual in addition to our in-person sessions.
IN-PERSON SCHEDULE
This training will take place in-person at Indigo Studios in Walnut Creek, and your attendance is required. If you are not able to attend a session, please make sure to discuss this with your instructor before signing up for this training.

November 7-10 & 21-24, 2024
Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Thursday 6-9pm, Friday 12-5pm, Saturday 8:30-5:30pm, Sunday 11-7pm
(includes a 30-minute break on Friday & a one hour break Saturday & Sunday)
